I Carry Your Heart: We do!

Now that we were all hand holdy from The Blessing of the Hands, it was time to say our vows. Mr. Rucksack and I opted out of writing our own vows and decided instead on the following:

Mr. Rucksack, I take you to be my husband from this time onward,
to join with you and to share all that is to come,
     to give and to receive,
     to speak and to listen,
     to inspire and to respond,
and in all our life together
to be loyal to you with my whole being,
as long as we both shall live
.

Miss Rucksack, I take you to be my wife from this time onward,
to join with you and to share all that is to come,
     to give and to receive,
     to speak and to listen,
     to inspire and to respond,
and in all our life together
to be loyal to you with my whole being,
as long as we both shall live.

Next it was time to exchange rings!

I choose you, Mr. Rucksack, above all others, to be my husband.
I offer this ring as a token of our love, and with it I join my life to yours.

I choose you, Miss Rucksack, above all others, to be my wife.
I offer this ring as a token of our love, and with it I join my life to yours
.

Officiant: By the act of joining hands you take to yourself the relation of husband and wife and solemnly promise to love, honor, comfort and cherish each other so long as you both shall live. Therefore, in accordance with the law of Connecticut and by virtue of the authority vested in me by the law of Connecticut I do pronounce you husband and wife.

Mr. and Mrs. Rucksack, you came to me as two single people and you will now leave as a married couple, united to each other by the binding contract you have just entered. Your cares, your worries, your pleasures and your joys you must share with each other. The best of good fortune to both of you.

Mr. Rucksack, you may now kiss the bride.
